Former Egyptian coach Mimi Abdel Razek has confirmed that some misunderstood his remarks about Al-Ahly fans, pointing out that the Red team is moving well with the new Swiss coach René Feiler.
Mimi Abdel-Razek said earlier on Al-Ahli fans: "Encouraged by his back because Al-Ahly has a great name in the history of football, I tend to Zamalek from Al-Ahly after the Egyptian, and I was happy after the victory over Al-Ahly 3-0."
"I did not mean to offend Al-Ahli fans, and my remarks were to praise them," Abdel-Razek said in televised remarks to Time Sport on Tuesday evening.
"I said this because Al-Ahli fans have extraordinary confidence in the players, so they turn their back on the pitch and encourage the team."
The former Egyptian coach said: "Ahli is currently moving at a steady pace and good policy in the league under the leadership of the new coach."
It is noteworthy that Ahli achieved the full mark in the league after three rounds of the season, if they beat Smouha, military production and Aswan.
